“The extermination policy that Mirelys Contreras applies through the prison ministry is horrible, and as proof look at what they just did in Rodeo III,” Commissioner Prado said in a message posted on his social network accounts.
The high official of the Interim Government assured that the dictatorship is not capable nor willing to investigate its protégés.
Likewise, he assured that they have very large deficiencies to attend to the prisoners.
Relatives of those deprived of liberty (euphemism for prisoner) in the ‘Rodeo III’ prison, denounced that this week there were violent searches in the place, where officials from the Ministry of the Penitentiary Service burned the belongings of the inmates.
Excessive punishments, isolation and harassment are some of the complaints collected by the team of the Venezuelan Prison Observatory (OVP) in conversation with relatives of prisoners in this penitentiary center.
